Gadchiroli.... Lloyds Mission for Global Skills & Entrepreneurship (LMGSE), an initiative envisioned to transform the socio-economic landscape of Gadchiroli, marked a significant milestone on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day with the certification of its first batch of trainees. A total of 193 students successfully completed the 45-day intensive skill development programme, signaling the beginning of a new chapter in industry-oriented skilling in the region. The establishment of LMGSE is the realization of the long-standing vision of Mr. B. Prabhakaran, Managing Director of Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited, who has been steadfast in his commitment to creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for the youth of Gadchiroli. His aspiration has been to build a dedicated institution that would nurture local talent, make them industry-ready, and align their skills with the rapidly growing industrial ecosystem of the district. Conceived as a bridge between aspiration and employment, LMGSE aims to address critical skill gaps by equipping youth with practical, vocational, and globally relevant competencies. What began as a mission-driven idea has now taken tangible form, empowering young individuals with the confidence and capability to participate in India’s industrial growth story. Addressing the trainees during the certificate distribution ceremony, Mr. Prabhakaran congratulated the inaugural batch and formally welcomed them into the Lloyds family. Reiterating his vision of transforming Gadchiroli into “another Jamshedpur of India,” he assured the students that the training and certification received through LMGSE would play a pivotal role in shaping their professional futures and enhancing their employability across industries. Mr. Prabhakaran also highlighted Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited’s progressive Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), under which employees are allotted company shares— making them stakeholders and partners in the organisation’s growth. He emphasized that the trainees are not merely job-ready, but are symbols of what focused skilling, opportunity, and belief can achieve for a region like Gadchiroli and beyond. His address instilled confidence and optimism among the trainees and attendees, reinforcing faith in a brighter, more inclusive future. The event was graced by District Collector Mr. Avishyant Panda, who noted that Gadchiroli is fast emerging as a major investment destination, with nearly ₹3 lakh crore worth of investments underway, expected to generate large-scale employment for local youth. He emphasized that the district administration’s key objective is to connect young people with organizations that provide structured skill training and sustainable employment. Mr. Panda lauded Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited and Mr. B. Prabhakaran for their exemplary commitment to skill development through the LMGSE initiative. He acknowledged that under Mr. Prabhakaran’s leadership, the first batch of 193 trainees has been successfully trained and absorbed into the company, and stated that such initiatives will play a crucial role in driving inclusive growth and long-term development in the district. The LMGSE programme was officially launched on December 11, marking the commencement of on-ground skilling activities for its first batch. With this milestone, Lloyds Mission for Global Skills & Entrepreneurship has firmly positioned itself as a catalyst for change, translating visionary leadership into meaningful impact for the youth of Gadchiroli.
